Today, Monroe County Schools joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember the victims and their families. We honor the first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary bravery. And we reflect on the unity and compassion that brought Americans together in the days that followed.

May we continue to teach the next generation the importance of remembrance, service, kindness, and standing together as a community.
